Second Saturday Science: Nuclear Radiation with Amy

May 11 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Researchers have discovered numerous applications for harnessing radiation, such as its use in power generation. Presently, there are 99 operational nuclear reactors in the United States serving this purpose. We invite you to join us in delving into the realm of nuclear radiation and power as our very own Amy Watson, former US Navy Nuclear Power ELT, guides us through discovering the world of nuclear radiation.

Second Saturday Science presents an excellent opportunity for museum visitors to expand their knowledge on various subjects that captivate their interests. Bi-monthly, we offer engaging informative lectures and interactive activities centered around diverse scientific themes. As part of our commitment to providing valuable educational experiences, we frequently extend invitations to external experts who graciously share their expertise with our esteemed audience.

2nd Saturday of the odd numbered months at 10:30am (free for members or with paid admission)
