March Homeschool Days: Make It Glow!

Make It Glow!
From glowing chemicals to glowing living things, students investigate the science behind things that glow in the dark. This program explores both chemical and biological luminescence.
Students will:
-Observe a chemiluminescent reaction using a luminol demonstration
-Experiment with variables to affect brightness and glow duration
-Learn about natural bioluminescence, including the glowing fungus known as foxfire (Armillariella mellea)
A bright and memorable way to explore chemistry and biology!
$19.00/per participant
Every Third Thursday,
Morning session 9:30 – 11:00 am
Afternoon session 1:00-2:30 pm

Registration required. An adult must remain with students under age 14 throughout the program. Parents receive complimentary admission when accompanying a paid registrant for Homeschool Days. In the event of additional visitors aged 3 and above, regular admission fee of $6 will apply. Doors will open at 9:15am for morning sessions.
