SUMMARY:Fabulous Friday: 18th Annual Egg Drop
DESCRIPTION:Design. Drop. Discover. \nPut your engineering skills to the test at our 18th Annual Egg Drop\, a longtime community favorite and part of North Carolina’s Statewide Science Festival! During this special Fabulous Friday\, the museum will be open after hours with free admission and hands-on engineering fun for all ages. \nDesign and build a protective launch vehicle—such as a parachute system or impact-resistant capsule—to safely deliver an egg from the 4th floor to the basement via our spiral staircase drop zone. Eggs are provided. After testing\, head to the launch point and see how your design performs in real time! \nWill your egg survive the fall? \nThis event is supported by volunteers from the Wilson Youth Council and celebrates creativity\, problem-solving\, and the engineering design process in a fun\, high-energy environment. Whether you’re a first-time builder or a seasoned egg-drop veteran\, everyone is welcome to join the challenge.
