In this interactive program\, students explore the science behind everyday foods by experimenting with acid-base reactions\, pH\, polymers\, and freezing point depression. \nActivities include: \nCreating fizzy reactions and jelly-based treats\, \nFormulating a custom carbonated drink\, \nUsing sodium chloride to lower the freezing point of ice and freeze a single serving of nondairy instant creamer \nStudents will see how small changes in chemistry can lead to surprising (and tasty!) results. Take-home recipes are included so learning can continue at home. \n⚠️ This program includes food preparation and sampling.
