The third floor is home to the North Carolina Museum of the Coastal Plain where "Eyes on Taiwan" and "Before Facebook" are currently on display.
"Eyes on Taiwan" is a photography exhibition featuring images taken by ten photographers from Taiwan. Each set of photographs brings a unique perspective about life in their homeland, through their eyes.
"Before Facebook" is an exhibition of more than a hundred photographs taken over a century spanning 1850 to 1960. Before social media and camera phones, photographs were carefully displayed and stored family heirlooms. The images in this exhibition were bought for pennies each and the people in them are unidentified, their stories lost in time.
