Fall 2015 - Spring 2016 Super Science Days
We offer Super Science Day Camps during Wilson County School District's Early Release Days. The camps are open to anyone from ages 6 to 12 years old. Full payment is due at time of registration. Payments can be taken over the phone, at our front desk with a credit card, online via PayPal, or in the mail. Payments are non-refundable, unless ISSHM cancels the camp. Wear comfortable and weather appropriate clothing. Please check your email account for more details once you have registered for the camp and we have received the payment.
Price: $25 per student non-member, $20 per student member discount applied.
Mad Science Lab

Get ready to explore the world of chemistry as we make crystal snowflakes, explore the chromatography of m&ms and mix up instant ice cream with a special ingredient. Students will get hands-on experience performing lab experiments and get to take home the results!
Space, the Final Frontier!
Wednesday, January 20, 1:30 - 4:30 PM
Take a journey into space as Trent tells us about planets, constellations, stars, and rockets! He'll show us the planets using the Sphere, show us the stars from inside the StarLab, and teach us how rockets can fly. Among other activities, students will sew their own constellations and witness a rocket launch from here!
Wednesday, February 10, 1:30 - 4:30 PM
Join us as we learn the basics of engineering and how to tackle a variety of building problems, ranging from building codes to environmental issues. Students will be challenged to think critically and walk away feeling confident that they can master anything!
In the Time of Dinosaurs

Travel back in time as we focus on dinosaurs! Students will learn about these pre-historic beasts and what made them one of the most successful species in the history of the Earth.
Into the Deep
Wednesday, April 20, 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Less than 5% of the ocean has been explored to date. Dive in with ISSHM as we explore the world’s oceans. Topics covered include marine life, currents, and the geology of the ocean floor.
The History of Play
Wednesday, May 18, 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Time travel with us as we explore games from over 300 years ago. Students will get to participate in games that were popular in Native American and Colonial cultures. Activities will challenge students both mentally and physically.
